Frequently Asked Questions

Will Sheltrd fit my truck?

Sheltrd is designed for full-size 1/2-ton pickups with approximately 5.5–5.8 ft beds. Because bed designs and attachment points vary by year, model, and trim, check your truck’s bed dimensions and available attachment points before ordering.

How does Sheltrd attach?

Sheltrd uses a perimeter bungee with hooks and Sheltrd Clamps. Use hooks or the included clamps at the front corners based on your truck’s available attachment points. At the rear, use stake pockets when available, or add Sheltrd Clamps if a higher attachment point is needed.

Do I need additional Sheltrd Clamps?

Some trucks may not have usable rear stake pockets or upper rear attachment points. In those cases, an additional pair of Sheltrd Clamps may be needed. Before ordering, check that your truck has a suitable inside bed-rail lip for the clamps.

Will Sheltrd work with my existing truck bed cover?

In many cases, yes. Sheltrd can work alongside roll-up, retractable, and other bed covers as long as you still have secure attachment points at the corners and near the cab.

Is Sheltrd waterproof?

Yes. Sheltrd uses urethane-coated, UV-treated nylon with a2000 mm waterproofratingto handle rain and everyday weather. It’s built to keep your gear covered, though it isn’t a fully sealed truck-bed enclosure.

Can I drive with Sheltrd installed?

Yes. Sheltrd is designed for normal driving, including highway travel, when properly installed and used as intended. Always make sure your cargo is properly secured before driving.

Will Sheltrd keep my cargo secure?

Sheltrd is designed to cover and conform around your load, but it is not a replacement for proper cargo tie-downs. Loose or shifting cargo should always be secured with appropriate straps or tie-downs.

Can Sheltrd cover taller cargo?

Yes. Its flexible design allows it to adapt to changing loads and cargo that extends above the bed rails.

How do I store Sheltrd?

Pack it into the included carry bag and store it under or behind a seat, or leave it on your truck so it’s ready when you need it.

What comes with Sheltrd?

Sheltrd includes the truck bed cover, integrated perimeter bungee, 8 hooks, 2 Sheltrd Clamps, and carry bag.
